Last week, we quietly celebrated the one year anniversary of my return to blogging. Isn’t that crazy?! Those twelve months went by fast didn’t they? Continue reading One Year Later
First I want to thank those of you who still come to the site, comment, and share The Black Sex Master with all your friends. It’s been so much fun re-establishing myself on the interwebs and a learning process as well. I’m even more excited because the best is yet to come! Hey y’all, happy new year! Hopefully everyone had to write the date on paper so it becomes real. Overall, 2009 was a great year for me; it was a period of growth, new adventures and tons of great debauchery. Surely, 2010 will be exponentially more exciting.
Hey everyone. Hope you’re having a fabulous weekend. I’m here, I just decided to take a week off to reflect on how this blogging thing is going and next steps.
Hey everyone! ::waves::
My name is Anthony and welcome to my little corner of the World Wide Web.
I’ve been gone for a minute, but now I’m back with the jumpoff! lol
But seriously, I had a blog eons ago (2003-2004…back when they were called online journals), but had to stop to focus on my education. It’s now time for me to step back up to the plate. I hope to contribute to a larger conversation working towards a model of healthy sexuality in the United States and beyond.
I just finished a masters degree in Sexuality Studies, hence the name of the site (yes you can make a living studying sex and sexuality, I’ll explain all that later). I’ve been doing (formal) social science based sexuality research for about six years now. My research interests are broad but generally involve the intersection of race, gender and sexuality (e.g. masculinity). I am particularly interested in how media shapes people’s identities concerning their race and sexuality.
I embrace many identities (black, gay, male, left-handed, etc.), but I try not to let the labels constraint me (you shouldn’t either). I’m just as curious to see how this little social experiment turns out; so sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
